  • Extended Portions of the Interview to Air on FOX News Channel’s “The Kelly File” Beginning Wednesday, May 18

FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Megyn Kelly will conduct her first sit-down interview with Republican presidential candidate and frontrunner Donald Trump since the August 2015 presidential debate. The interview will take place in New York and air on the upcoming Fox Broadcasting (FOX) special, “MEGYN KELLY presentson Tuesday, May 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Extended portions of the sit-down will air on “The Kelly File” (9:00-10:00 PM/ET) on FNC beginning Wednesday, May 18th.

For the first time ever, Kelly will explore how events unfolded with Trump after the August debate as one of the most prominent voices covering the 2016 presidential campaign of the frontrunner. She will also examine Trump’s successful campaign for the White House to date and his role in one of the most historic presidential runs in modern times.

In commenting on the interview, Kelly said, “Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request. He was gracious with his time and I asked him to consider an interview. I am happy to announce he has agreed, and I look forward to a fascinating exchange — our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year.”

In addition to the Trump interview, “MEGYN KELLY presents” will showcase Kelly’s renowned journalism skills in interviewing a wide variety of notable guests (to be announced) from the entertainment world and other spheres of human interest. FOX News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes is the show’s senior executive producer, while broadcast veteran Bill Geddie serves as the executive producer.

Kelly serves as the anchor of “The Kelly File” (weekdays, 9:00-10:00 PM/ET) on FNC, the second most-watched program in cable news, averaging more than two million viewers. She has landed some of the most coveted guests in the television news business for the nearly three-year-old program, including the Duggar family, Bill Ayers, Charles Koch and Michael Moore.

During the current election cycle, Kelly co-moderated each of the network’s three Republican presidential primary debates, alongside Bret Baier and Chris Wallace. The first debate on August 6, 2015, which involved her exchange with Trump, delivered 24 million viewers, making it the highest-rated non-sports cable telecast of all time.

Game of Thrones: Season 6 premiere | The Red Woman (3/4)

Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere was good, but not great. There was death, there was action, there was nudity, but there was not the intensity that you may expect from your favorite GOT. A lot happened, but nothing really happened. A lot what we expected, but not really what we may have wanted. But the good thing is, it left us hungry for more, with the possibility of even more.

***Spoilers***

  • One thing was clear; John Snow is dead, at least for this week. I doubt that will go on for long though. He has to come back. Seems like it will be Melisandre? Maybe White Walkers?
  • Although turns out she’s like 500 yrs old, maybe even 1000 yrs. But she does know some serious magic. Although, if she was going to use magic, why not look like in your 20s. Just wondering…
  • Jamie is back to Cersei. And Cersei is totally disoriented. Doesn’t care much about her girl dying, but talking about all 3 dying. Well, there’s one left, so far.
  • All the ships have been burnt, so Tyrion and Varys are not going to Westeros any time soon. Tyrion actually spelled that, exactly that way!
  • The Sand Snakes killed the king & the prince. Actually, the king was the prince. So they killed the prince and prince’s son. Was surprisingly easy, for a “prince & ruler”. But hey, it’s GOT.
  • Sansa & Theon, almost got caught. But Brienne saved them. She’s finally back, and finally in Sansa’s service. BTW – Sansa almost didn’t wanna walk in water, even to save her life. Seriously?
  • Arya is blind, and getting beaten up. Honestly, that’s it!
  • The Khaleesi is back to being Khaleesi, with the dothrakis & Khals. Her lovers are looking for her, and she’s looking to go back. At Least she avoided the tormentation etc, by reporting she’s ex-Khaleesi. But now she’s supposed to to go to this ex-khaleesi retirement home.
  • And where are the dragons? Seriously, again? Where are they when they are needed? After All, they are the ones that are going t o probably save her. I know it’s expensive and all, but it’s GOT. Give me the dragons!!

So that encapsulates the show. Performances were fine, but nothing breakout. Except Kit Harrington as the dead body. He’s same as he was at the end of last season. Impressive… And the old lady that plays OLD Melisandre. She’s quite something!

Waiting for next episode, and rest of the season. :)

Better Call Saul - Season 2 (4/4)

If you're not sure what to do this weekend, you can either go out and enjoy the nice weather (at least here in NYC, where it's finally going to hit 70s), or even better, watch "Better Call Saul", one of the best shows on TV right now. The season finale is tomorrow, and you wouldn't wanna miss out!

A spinoff show from the universally acclaimed Breaking Bad, that started last year, is a universally acclaimed show on its own. Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould were able to recreate the magic of the original show, and make this into an equally exciting and joyful journey for audience to watch. There is drama, suspense, thrill, great humor & comedy, and everything you want in a good TV show. This brilliantly cast show, with an amazing story and wonderful storytelling, is definitely worth your time. No wonder, its already renewed for a 3rd season.

If you're new to the show, it's story of Saul Goodman, from the Breaking Bad, who's a corrupt but good-hearted lawyer. He's doing his best to survive against the world, against all odds in his life, and against his brother who's a noble lawyer but doesn't appreciate his brother's "tricks". I'm not going to give any more spoilers. It's more like a prequel, but also has some sequel scenes (goes back & forth in time). We know where the prequel part ends, but it'll be exciting to see where the sequel ends. Hopefully it gets explored more in season finale or next season.

Don't miss the season finale of Better Call Saul, Mon., Apr. 18 at 10/9c.

Bob Odenkirk is absolutely amazing in his role, and Jonathan Banks, makes his Mike one of the best characters on TV. The entire cast is very good. The editing and photography is beautiful. The show has a lot of character and looks great. Probably New Mexico is getting lot of tourism, thanks to Vince, Peter and AMC. Every director on the show has helped to elevate the show. But after Peter's amazing episode last week, I'm very excited about Vince's season finale coming tomorrow!

Undoubtedly it's one of the best times for TV, and AMC is definitely doing its part in contributing towards that. Checkout more about the show here

  • “Time Traveling Bong” Stars Glazer and Downs and is Directed by Aniello, And Written and Executive Produced by Glazer, Downs and Aniello

Go on the trip of a lifetime with the premiere of the three-part mini-series “Time Traveling Bong.” The limited series from the minds of “Broad City‘s” Ilana Glazer, Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello will debut on 4/20 (of course) at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT following the season three finale of “Broad City” on Comedy Central. As part of a special, three-night event, “Time Traveling Bong” will roll out over three consecutive nights, April 20, 21, 22 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Parts one and two will also re-air on Friday, April 22 starting at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT leading into the premiere of part 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The series centers on cousins played by Glazer and Downs who discover that their bong has the ability to transport them through space and time.

In “Time Traveling Bong” Glazer and Downs play Sharee and Jeff, two mediocre, suburban cousins who live together in a condo left to them by their grandmother in New Jersey. Their mundane lives take a twisted turn when they find a bong that also serves as a time machine, which transports them to Salem, Massachusetts in the height of the witch trial era, the racially segregated South in the 1960s, ancient Greece and even the dystopian future, among other times and places. Their buzz is killed when the bong breaks and they are forced to bounce around the space time continuum, learning to appreciate that there’s no time like the present.

For additional content, fans can check out “After the Smoke Clears,” a digital only-series that revisits the characters Sharee and Jeff meet throughout their time travels and whose lives they have irrevocably altered, for better or worse. And for an in-depth look at the production of the show, fans can watch “Behind the Bong,” a behind-the-scenes digital-only series that shows how the cast and crew recreated Ancient Greece, small town America in the 1960s, Salem in the 1690s, and the not-too-distant-future and features interviews with Glazer and Downs. “After the Smoke Clears” and “Behind the Bong” will be available on cc.com/timetravelingbongand the Comedy Central App on 4/20. Highlights and footage from “Time Traveling Bong” will also be found during the season on the Comedy Central channel on Snapchat Discover.

“Time Traveling Bong” is executive produced and written by Glazer, Downs and Aniello, who also directed the series, and executive produced by Dave Becky of 3 Arts Entertainment and Sam Reich. Sarah Babineau and Samantha Schles are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

All three-parts of “Time Traveling Bong” will be available on the Comedy Central app and oncc.com on 4/20. The Comedy Central App is available for free for iOS on the App Store, for Android on the Google Play store, and on Chromecast and Xbox One. Each part of the mini-series will be available to download-to-own day after air on iTunes, Amazon Video, Microsoft Movies and TV, Verizon Multi-Screen, Vudu and Google Play.

Wynonna Earp (2/4)

Wynonna Earp is Jessica Joneswithout the real fire & fun. A "strong and tough woman", although this one has no super powers (yet), who's brash, harsh, give-no-damn kind of girl. A descendent of demon-killers Earp legacy, who hold a special gun "peacemaker" (which only they can hold), to kill the demons, I mean "the revenants". She has a sister to save, and fight with. She has a strong male character to lean on. And a white male villain, connected to her past.

Well, that's practically where similarity with Jessica Jones ends, as far as story goes. But similarity in the character and performance, remains. Although the show finds similarities in many other shows on TV right now. And its another show involving the lead female character finding and demons (ShadowhuntersShannara). Being helped by other strong male characters. I mean, its just repeated, boring and nothing great. I think we have had enough of them already.

The action scenes are not as hard core as the Netflix's Marvel shows. The show tries to play it dark & grim, with occasional dose of comedy, which is not bad, but not impressive either. The production quality is quite mediocre, for what we are used to seeing on TV. Performances are not bad, but the story and dialogues are filled with cliches. The show really needs something more, something better.

Everyone has demons. Hers are real. Wynonna Earp airs Fridays at 10/9c. " Premieres Friday, April 1 at 10/9c " Subscribe To Syfy: http://po.st/Ccur3W Series Description: Based on the IDW Comic, Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp's great granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures.

The simplest way for me to figure, if I like a TV show, is the fact, if I want to watch it again. Honestly, I did not care to watch second episode. I thought I'll give this 2 episodes before my review. And even after 2 episodes, I'm not really impressed. I'm not sure I'm going to go back and watch...

Joan Rivers: Exit Laughing | The legend never dies

Joan Rivers is a comedy genius, and that’s no overstatement. And it’s not just me saying it, you can here few the best of comics share there view of Joan Rivers, through this film The film features Sarah Silverman, Whitney Cummings, Kathy Griffin, Dick Cavett, Don Rickles, Lily Tomlin, Marlo Thomas and many more.

EXIT LAUGHING is the first in a planned series of documentary films about the grandmasters of comedy (and the future inductees of the Comedy Hall of Fame) as an initiative to bring arts programming for comedy to public television.

Joan Rivers embodied New York; brassy, forward, honest, smart and very funny.  She defined the culture as she wrote the history of comedy.  Unlike female standups before her, Joan talked about issues, not wishes.  She was critical to breaking the glass ceiling of then male-dominated standup comedy.  In the process she revolutionized the field as a pioneer to forge a path for the wave of female standups in the 1970’s and 1980’s and beyond. Joan was essential to the evolution of comedy from entertainment to social commentary in the latter half of the 20th century.  As an act of both history and education, the Comedy Hall of Fame has created a documentary to understand and examine how comedy grows from one generation to the next, while celebrating Joan’s impact, innovation and influence. This historical program covers her journey, process, insights into the field and her impact on other comedians.

http://goo.gl/L27u - Performed on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on April 23, 1967. Available on "Ed Sullivan's All-Star Comedy Special" DVD available at EdSullivan.com

CHF continues to grow the Archives and will produce more films in an effort to continue the oral traditions that form the foundations of the art form. “Comedy exists today because it was built on the shoulders of past generations of comedians who have pioneered the vast language of comedy and grown its power as an engine for social change,” said Jeffrey Pancer, the curator of the CHF’s archives. “As such, Joan Rivers’ legacy and impact has been defined by other comedians: the artists that she knew and those she influenced, offering a unique perspective from the comedians that create the history of the field.”

Lopez (3/4)

George Lopez is back, again, with a new TV show with his name, again, where he plays himself, again. And its actually funny & good, again!

The show is created by John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, who have done amazing shows from Kings of Hill, to Silicon Valley. No wonder TV Land gave a 12-episode straight-to-series order in August 2015. And the shows premier today was quite funny & fun. We see George Lopez, an aging & successful brown comic, but only popular with browns & blacks, struggling to keep up with the whites & the world.

A new comedy from George Lopez and co-creators of Silicon Valley, Lopez is inspired by the life of George Lopez. It starts Wednesdays, March 30th at 10/9c on TV Land Lopez Premieres Wednesday March 30th at 10/9C on TV Land! Watch a preview on the TV Land App!

George is hilarious, as usual, and really suits the part! The guest star Snoop Dogg, didn't have much to add, but had a nice part. Most of the rest of the cast was good too. But  this episode heavily relied on George's shoulder, and he did great. The jokes were funny, and socially relevant. Like most of George's show, it's still heavily focused on hispanic issues and many cliches & stereotypes too. Hopefully we see that evolve in upcoming seasons, with more characters developing.

Enjoy!

Supergirl: World's Finest (4/4)

To begin with, it's hands down one of the best episode of the show so far, and it's a nice enough show. Thanks to Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg (the two having previously created Arrow and The Flash), DC's TV universe is not a disaster like the movies. Flash who can travel through time & parallel universes, accidentally lands up in National City. And the fun begins!

Like the crossover with Arrows, this one is quite fun. The chemistry between Grant and his ex co-star from Glee, is amazing. Which makes the chemistry between Flash & Supergirl fun. Both are funny, nerdy, cheesy and awesome! They team up together against the duo of Livewire & Silver Banshee, and they all fight like women (as Flash says!). Flash helps Supergirl save the day (spoiler: although they don't actually save the day, it gets saved by Firefighters. Kinda boring, but...). And Supergirl helps Flash get back to his Earth. And in between, there are races/competitions (guess who wins?) and lot of funny jabs.

Both Grant and Melissa are phenomenal. Seeing this James Olsen jealous, was nice for a change. Winn as the mega nerd of Supergirl, is cool, as usual. But unfortunately, he lost his new found lady love, to Silver Banshee (or who became her). Rest of the cast is amazing as usual.  The episode's teleplay was written by Andrew Kreisberg & Michael Grassi, and directed by Nick Gomez. All in all, this was an amazing episode, and hopefully we get to see more of these.

Don't miss Supergirl x The Flash Crossover Monday, March 28th at 8/7c on CBS. #SupergirlxTheFlash http://www.cbs.com/shows/supergirl/ http://www.cwtv.com/shows/the-flash/ http://supergirl.com/

Fun Facts: This marked the first episode of the series to feature a character from the DC Universe that appears on another show, and the first character from a CW series to cross over to a CBS series. The episode title was inspired by the World's Finest Comics series, in which Superman would team up with various other DC superheroes, including the Flash.

THE GIRL KING (3/4)

THE GIRL KING, an international production written by award-winning Canadian writer Michel Marc Bouchard (Tom at the Farm, Lilies), THE GIRL KING tells the story of one of the most iconic queens in history, Queen Kristina of Sweden. Crowned Queen in 1632 at the age of six and raised as a prince, Queen Kristina was a brilliant yet enigmatic young leader who fought conservative forces to revolutionize Sweden while falling in love with her lady-in-waiting and exploring her awakening sexuality. Torn between conflicts of political, religious, and personal aspirations, Kristina made one of the most controversial choices in history.

It's a fascinating film with historical significance about Queen Kristina of Sweden - , from international filmmaker Mika Kaurismäki. The film chronicles 'the virgin queen" Kristina of Sweden, an iconic historical figure who was raised as a boy, assumed the throne at the age of eighteen, and attempted to modernize 17th century Sweden and quell religious conflict, all while exploring her nascent sexuality with her lady-in-waiting. She is known as a singularly independent woman in international history, and one of the most educated women of her time. She advocated for her open interest in Catholicism amidst a climate of strict Lutheranism. After abdicating the throne at a young age, she converted to Roman Catholicism and moved to Rome. The Pope described Kristina as 'a queen without a realm, a Christian without faith, and a woman without shame".

While epic in story, Kaurismäki has imbued the film with psychological intensity to tell the story of one of one of the most fascinating female leaders in recorded history. "THE GIRL KING is not intended as a traditional costume piece but as an intense, actor-centered psychological drama about one of the most interesting and mysterious personalities of all time," Kaurismäki explains. "Queen Kristina was a revolutionary free thinker, a connoisseur of art and science, a precursor of the feminist movement and a strong and visionary politician, a new European. But at the same time she was a confused, restless, eccentric and isolated young woman."

Lead actress Malin Buska gives an electric lead performance, and the acclaimed international ensemble cast includes Sarah Gadon (upcoming lead in A Royal Night Out, Belle, Enemy, Cosmopolis, The Amazing Spiderman 2, Dracula Untold), Michael Nyqvist (Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Lucas Bryant (Haven, The Vow), Laura Birn (Purge, Inner Trial) and Martina Gedeck (Night Train to Lisbon, The Nun, The Lives of Others).

It opened in limited theatrical release 12/4, in LA, Bay Area, San Jose, and Minneapolis, and on DVD / VOD 12/8 via Wolfe Video.

  • Workaholics” (Season Six Premiere) – 10:00 p.m.

Adam, Blake and Ders are back to work at TelAmeriCorp in the sixth season of “Workaholics.” From the minds of the hilarious and irreverent Internet sketch group Mail Order Comedy, “Workaholics” is a single-camera comedy featuring three friends, played by series creators Blake Anderson, Adam Devine and Anders Holm, who work together from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7. Dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon are not things these guys are used to. They do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they show up late, leave drunk and always live for the day…even if they don’t know what day it is. This season the guys, along with officemates “Jillian” (Jillian Bell) “Alice” (Maribeth Monroe) and “Montez” (Erik Griffin), and their friend “Karl” (Kyle Newacheck, creator and director), sell a new product geared toward women, seek out an old favorite porn video, fight to raise their klout scores and “Blake” and “Jillian” adopt a cat, among other hijinks.

Created by Jillian Bell (“Workaholics,” “The Night Before”) and Charlotte Newhouse (“The Big Bang Theory”), the weekly, half-hour “Idiotsitter” follows “Billie” (Newhouse), a cash-strapped, straight and narrow Ivy League grad hired to babysit “Gene” (Bell), an heiress who is under house arrest in her daddy’s mansion. The ten-episode season also features Stephen Root (“Boardwalk Empire”) as Gene’s permissive and oblivious dad and Jennifer Elise Cox (“The Brady Bunch Movie,” “Web Therapy”) as her stepmother. “Idiotsitter” is the second digital series produced for cc.com to make the transition from digital to on-air, following “This Is Not Happening.”
