One of stand-up comedy’s brightest rising stars, Pete Davidson is set to film his first one-hour stand-up special during two sold-out shows at the Skirball Center in New York City on Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. ET. “Pete Davidson: SMD” is scheduled to premiere fall 2016 on Comedy Central.
At 21, Davidson is the youngest member of the current “Saturday Night Live cast,” as well as the first SNL cast member to be born in the 1990’s. Davidson was named by Variety as one of their “Top 10 Comics to Watch for 2014,” and made headlines as one of the featured Roasters on the “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber” in 2015.
Davidson’s TV credits include Comedy Central’s “Adam Devine’s House Party” and “Comedy Underground with Dave Attell” and MTV’s “Guy Code” and “Wild ‘n Out,” along with a cameo in the box office hit “Trainwreck.”
The special is executive produced by Davidson, Tim Sarkes, and Joel Gallen, who will direct. Broadway Video will serve as consulting producers. Anne Harris and Miro Terrell are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
