We talked with Alex Nguyen, the co-founder of MadeTerra. Here are the excerpts:
How did you start this journey and created your brand?
We start making handmade products more than 10 years ago, and we distributed our products to wholesalers, and got a fraction of the selling price. One day we saw that Internet created a chance for us to open a direct-market channel, where we can sell our made in Vietnam products directly to the people in US and Europe. That's why we created Made Terra brand - brand that carry our value: direct-to-market, earth friendly, handmade.
What makes your products unique and how do you maintain high quality at such affordable prices?
Handmade home accessories made of Vietnam-grown materials and made by our Vietnamese traditional craftsmanship skills. Vietnam is the homeland of earth friendly materials like seagrass, bamboo... and our people have a rich tradition and history in handcrafting home accessories using such home-grown materials.

What are your most exciting products?

How has 2020 been?
Well, not as our expectation as the Covid-19 pandemic spread out the whole world and caused a lot of logistic problems. However we can be proud of what we have done - that is overcoming these challenges to bring our products to you in US and Europe
What's coming up in the future for the brand and you?
We will bring more direct-to-market products from Vietnam. We have just introduced only a small fraction of what our country and people have made. We hope to build the brand that you can love and trust.
